Overview of Role: Our client based in Co. Louth/ Meath/ North Dublin is seeking a Warehouse Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all daily operations. This role requires a dynamic leader who can ensure that all produce meets the highest standards of quality while maintaining efficient production and distribution processes. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for coordinating staff schedules, maintaining supplies and inventory and implementing professional development strategies. They will adhere to budgets set out. They are responsible for managing the production team and supervisors to ensure orders are filled, monitoring and maintaining stock levels, receiving customer orders and liaising with department heads. The Manager ultimately has the responsibility for managing the warehouse considering Quality, Audit Standards and Health & Safety. They are responsible for a succession plan for their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision.
Oversee the receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
Ensure efficient space utilization and setup layout.
Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system.
Operate within budget, liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
Plan rotas, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results.
Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees.
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
Develop and adhere to operations budget and Produce reports and statistics regularly.
Develop orders based on current stock levels historical data and current trends.
Source products and maintain stock levels ensuring that there is adequate stock to fill orders.
Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure timely & efficient deliveries from Suppliers.
Ensure product is delivered at the correct time and date as agreed with the supplier.
Liaise with Customers to receive orders and where necessary liaise with designated Logistics company to deliver customer orders as required.
Consult with Technical Manager on new suppliers and advise Accounts Department of new supplier information.
Manage production team to ensure customer orders are completed as required.
Administration & investigation of account queries.
Maintain accurate waste figures to avoid issues with over ordering.
Regular spot checks of physical stock against stock sheets.
Keep track of staffing requirements and liaise with relevant departments to hire new talent as required.
Ensure the organisation remains compliant with health and safety regulations and Audit ready.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in management.
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
Leadership skills and the ability to manage staff.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
