Job Description

Job Title:                                              Quality Engineer 

Employment Type                           Part time role (approx. 20 hours PW)

Reporting to:                                     Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager

Main purpose of job: This person will work with external and internal customers and suppliers to ensure the highest Quality standard is achieved. Additionally, they will be involved in the company culture to drive continuous process improvement.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

Drive solutions to improve consistency in KPI’s using Continuous improvement & Lean manufacturing tools

Liaise with all functions to continuously interrogate the systems & processes eliminating waste and improving performance

Ensure processes enhance overall Quality performance and assure that all customer and regulatory agency requirements are met.

Pro-actively work with all customers to ensure the company is continually meeting and exceeding their requirements. 

Work with all customers to ensure all Quality issues are dealt with in a timely manner and result in a minimum disruption to the customer.

Provides support to internal departments regarding process development and process risk analysis and assess new processes for effective continuous improvement.

Work with the Quality Team members to ensure ISO 9001, ISO 13485 & GDP conformity.

Represent the Quality dept for all NPI activity

Treat all customer information in a confidential manner and comply with all Security & IT Policies in relation to the protection of company and customer information

You will ensure compliance to the conditions of the Wholesale Distribution Authorisation and Good Distribution Practice.

       You will comply with the requirement of the QMS for the company.

 You will comply with Internal Policies & Procedures and with our ISO certification requirements,     specifically ISO 9001; ISO 13485: GDP :  ISO 14001 & ISO 27001.

You will be required to be flexible in this role and must be prepared to perform other tasks and undertake additional duties in any area of the business as determined by Management. These tasks may be outside your normal work area.

 

Essential Requirements:

Technical Competencies

Third level qualification in Quality, Science, Engineering or equivalent

Relevant experience in a similar role  

Auditing experience  

Basic computer skills and background in SPC and statistics

Knowledge of ISO 9001, or ISO 13485 or GDP requirements

Desirable Requirements:

Experience in Lean/6 Sigma.

SAP Knowledge

Knowledge or Healthcare storage and distribution
