Overview of Role: In partnership with Our client the Drogheda Homeless Aid, based in Drogheda, Co Louth we are seeking a manager permanent basis.

Job Description, Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Carry out operational, management and financial decisions of the Board of Directors.

Attend meetings of the Board of Directors as required and report on all aspects of DHA’s operations.

Monitor GDPR, Governance, Charity regulators’ requirements and other regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and best practice.

Develop contacts and build links with statutory and funding agencies and other relevant bodies and individuals.

Organise and supervise ongoing fundraising operations and explore other funding options and fundraising opportunities under the direction of the Board of Directors

Represent DHA at all relevant functions and meetings, where possible.

Provide financial management, budgetary control and record keeping in all matters financial.

Oversee the recording of all monies received by or donated to DHA. 

Be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of St Joseph’s Hostel and housing.

Supervise and participate in the ongoing process of evaluation of the residents.

Oversee the provision of a high level of health, safety, welfare and care to all residents and staff of DHA.

Make adequate provisions for staffing, maintenance and security of St Joseph’s Hostel and all DHA properties.

Organise and lead the admin and team leader and or management teams.

Provide appropriate supervision, training, support and encouragement to staff and supervise and participate in the ongoing process of evaluation and appraisal of the staff.

Maintain and foster best practice in working relationships with employees.

Report all incidents of serious misconduct and accidents to the Board of Directors and make recommendations or take appropriate action to prevent recurrence.

Oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the transitional housing and properties owned by DHA.

Carry out appropriate research into matter relevant to DHA and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Provide support to a range of Board Committees e.g., HR Committee.

PR and Communications - ensure that a positive public relations message is communicated through local media, press and social media

Ensure the Meals on Wheels service is promoted and administered in accordance with best practice.

Support the development of a three-year plan for the advancement of DHA.

Any other duties deemed necessary by the Board of Directors for the continued function of your role as Manager.

Hours of work:         39 hours per week. You will also be required to attend out of hour’s functions, Board meetings and other company related business as part of your normal duties.
