Overview of role: Our client based in the North East is seeking a HR Officer on a Part-Time contract basis to assist in the continued growth and performance of the company. The Human Resources Generalist will build and maintain strong relationships across the business to ensure efficient and effective HR processes and procedures. Also provide support in all areas of Human Resource Management including recruitment, retention, training, development, and facilitate effective and proactive decision-making to ensure solutions are realistic, fair, timely, consistent, transparent and effective.
Supporting the HR process including liaising with the Managing Director for planning for on-going HR needs.
Assist in development and implementation of HR policy and procedures.
Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, based on legislation.
Provide training on these policies, where required.
Provide employee relations support.
Coordinate Company Induction process, responsible for issuing all new starter paperwork and contracts of employment.
Manage the HR Information to ensure accuracy of personnel records.
Educational experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources or related field. CIPD member.
Minimum of 3+ years of General Human Resources experience.
General knowledge of all facts of the human resource function in an organisation.
Ability to interview employees, resolve concerns, and obtain employee information.
Knowledge of latest HR Policies and best practices and applicable legislation.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a basic understanding of human behaviour and motivation.
This is a part-time contract role; candidates must be available immediately or maximum 2 week’s notice.
