Overview of Role: Our client based in the North East is seeking an Accounts Assistant on a full-time permanent basis.
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time position within the Accounts department.
This position would be suited to a qualified or part qualified Accounting Technician.
The role will suit a person who is eager to work in a busy Accounts department.
Job Description:
Processing Sales invoices bi-weekly
Monthly payroll
Preparing VAT returns for Irish and UK entities
Periodic reviews of VAT treatment applied to sales invoices
Completion and submission of monthly VIES and Intrastat returns
Working with customers and banks in relation to Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual CSO returns
Carry out weekly internal audit processes
Month end reconciliations
Assist with year-end audit as required
Other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements:
3 years plus in a similar role,
Ideally IATI qualified or part qualified.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Can work on own initiative with an ability to take direction when given
Ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of professionalism, integrity and trust
