Overview of role: Our client based in Co Monaghan is seeking an Accounts Assistant for their Purchasing department on a full-time permanent basis. The Accounts Assistant will work with the Procurement & Distribution Director and the wider Procurement and Finance Teams, contributing to the successful delivery of the customer and supplier plan.

 

Main Duties

  • Static data – compiling information on products ordered/ supplier codes
  • Monitoring and administering Supplier rebates
  • Waste – providing support to ensure invoices are raised – set up price cubes to invoice waste to customer
  • Reconciliation of Dutch Inter Company accounts
  • Price comparisons – using data from Pr2 to compare prices with new supplier
  • Compiling reports – on usage/ spend
  • Taking information from Pr2 and using to compile reports on annual spend/ usage of packaging, labels, casing, punnets, stationery, consumables, fuel, straw
  • Compiling pricing information for Purchasing Director in relation to punnets, update pricing on Pr2
  • Understanding of how punnets works/ discounts/ rebates etc.
  • Currency rebate on Sylvan invoice
  • Updating Origin Green reports casing, donations etc.
  • Updating Transport rates etc.
  • Accounts – ordering of cheques
  • Implementation of Bacs
  • Creation and analysis of monthly creditor reports
  • Full responsibility and management of for Petty Cash
  • Provide holiday cover for the Cash administrator

 

Competencies to perform the role

  • Competent in the use of technology with excellent IT skills, Excel would be advantageous
  • Ability to display high levels of numeracy and literacy ability
  • An ability to gather, analyse and present financial information in a user-friendly manner
  • Organisational and Good communication skills

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Excellent financial acumen and commercial awareness
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP modules is beneficial but not essential
